9 Four Decades of Int’ l TV Biz August/Sept. 2021 V I D E O A G E Continuing under “The Easy Rider” banner, the following four years were marked by the growth of international TV content sales (represented by 10 U.S. companies), the growing influence of the International Council (now the International Academy), the acrimonious competition between Milan’s MIFED and Cannes’ MIPCOM (formerly VIDCOM), headed by a film producer, the mild-mannered Alfredo Bini (replacing the charismatic Michele G.
