The organizers of the Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival (BAFICI) have announced that the dates for the festival’s 25th edition will be April 17-28, 2024. Filmmakers will be able to submit their work up until January 31, 2024.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, the event will take place in theaters across the city, with the epicenter around Corrientes, a street with many cinemas. El Centro Cultural San Martín will host a large part of the programming.
The festival typically receives some 400 films from over 120 countries from both independent and professional filmmakers who will be competing for 16 awards. Non-English films are subtitled in Spanish.
