VA Media is a Sydney-based media company that specializes in social video monetization. With offices in Sydney and Melbourne, VA helps producers and distributors discover audiences and monetize their content across YouTube, Facebook, SNAP and other AVOD platforms.
VA Media is the largest enterprise partner of YouTube in Australia/APAC. With over 15 million subscribers, its network of owned and operated channels, as well as the channels it manages, are making AVOD truly global through YouTube’s worldwide reach.
Three license models are available. Through the Licensed Content Model, VA licenses movies and series from over 60+ global distributors, curating titles to its growing number of owned and operated channels on YouTube. With the Services Model, VA works with content companies, producers and/or distributors to build out channel(s) brands and create social content formats for YouTube, Facebook, SNAP and TikTok to drive audience growth and monetisation. Through IP protection, VA Media helps clients protect content on YouTube and soon on Facebook.
VA Media recently signed an agreement with Lesflicks, an SVoD platform featuring predominantly sapphic and bi content, to monetize its LGBTQIA+ content on VA’s recently rebranded YouTube channel We Are Pride. The fifty films newly licensed by VA Media are never-before seen outside of the Lesflicks platform and will be released on We Are Pride.
In March 2023, the company hired Los Angeles-based distribution and marketing executive Kristen Bedno as head of Content Partnerships & Acquisitions, North America, in its first move to expand globally in the social AVOD space. Bedno is founder of marketing and distribution consultancy SideHussleLife, with her previous roles including vice president of Distribution and Marketing at Vision Films.
