Paramount Global Content Distribution’s Couples Therapy will have a brand new local adaptation in New Zealand. This will be the third international production of the Showtime doc format, following the Israeli series on KAN, now in its second season, and the Australian series that launched on Paramount+ in July 2022. Paramount Global Content Distribution has also optioned the format in various territories including the U.K., Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, France and Italy.
The 10-part New Zealand series will be produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production NZ for Warner Bros. Discovery’s BVOD platform ThreeNow and linear channel Three.
Now in its third season on Showtime in the U.S., the docu-series follows world-renowned psychologist and psychoanalyst Dr. Orna Guralnik as she deftly guides couples through struggles – and extraordinary breakthroughs – in real-life therapy sessions.
