A+E Networks Global Content Sales has signed on to distribute Season 2 and 3 of detective drama series Miss Scarlet and the Duke in key markets worldwide (excluding U.S., U.K. & Ireland, English-speaking Canada, Africa and Benelux). Season three is set to premiere in the U.S. on MASTERPIECE on PBS, on January 8, 2023.
Set in the same 1850s London society that gave rise to Jack the Ripper, this Victorian detective drama features a fearless, independent heroine played by Kate Phillips (Peaky Blinders). With her inquisitive mind, Miss Eliza Scarlet has always been more interested in running her late father’s detective agency than behaving like a proper lady, much to the chagrin of family friend Inspector William Wellington of Scotland Yard (Stuart Martin, Jamestown). But nothing has prepared her for the dangers she is about to face as a woman in the murder investigation trade.
The third season of the series sees Miss Scarlet taking on new cases with her Scotland Yard source and soulmate William “the Duke” Wellington. There’s no shortage of criminality – or “Will they or won’t they” encounters.
