ComediHa! Distribution and Zone3 sold the adapted format of In Lieu of Flowers to Italian production company Stand By Me.

Produced by Zone3, the live-audience variety show features celebrity guests who attend their own fully improvised funeral services.

Patrice L’Écuyer hosted the past 12 seasons on ICI Radio-Canada Télé. Each episode features the recently departed and the people closest to them. The loved ones each get a turn in the spotlight to deliver their eulogies, a mix of monologues, variety acts, and comedy sketches.
