The fourth annual Face of the Year awards took place on January 11, 2018. Organized by Vietnam’s Gioi Dien Anh Magazine and the International Media Joint Stock Company (IMC), the annual event presented 17 awards across film and television categories. Zee TV’s drama series Waaris (Heir) was the recipient of the People’s Choice Award. The drama series is the story of a family dispute that forces a mother to raise her daughter as a boy in order to receive a family inheritance. The series’ lead actress Arti Singh accepted the award at the ceremony on behalf of the Zee production.
