Based on a book by Jhon Jairo Velásquez and following the Pablo Escobar trend that emerged last year,  Caracol superseries Surviving Pablo Escobar, Alias JJ is currently being shot in Medellin and Bogota. Over one hundred and fifteen actors will take part in the cast, including Juan Pablo Urrego (as John Jairo Valásquez, Alias JJ) and Amparo Grisales (as Monica Machado).
