The 37th edition of the Banff World Media Festival will be held June 12-15 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada. The event will honor pay-TV service HBO as esteemed Company of Distinction. Richard Plepler, chairman and CEO of HBO, will deliver the Company of Distinction Keynote. Other speakers include The Hon. Melanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Michael Lombardo, HBO President of Programming, and Damon Lindelof, co-creator of HBO’s hit series The Leftovers. Program of the Year and Master Class will be Netflix’s Making a Murderer. Creators Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos will accept the award and deliver a Master Class on the series.
