The 75th Annual Peabody Awards, which celebrate projects in the fields of news, entertainment, documentaries, children’s programming, among others, have released a list of 60 finalists. From this list, 30 winners (the Peabody 30) will be unveiled next week. Winners will be honored during the Peabody ceremony, which will take place May 21 in New York. In addition, three figures have been confirmed as nominees: late-night host David Letterman and documentary filmmaker Stanley Nelson will be recognized for their contributions to electronic media, while The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will receive an institutional Peabody. Finalists include Among the finalists ABC’s Black-ish and Fresh Off the Boat, FX’s Fargo, Amazon’s Transparent and Catastrophe, HBO’s The Leftovers and Veep, among others.
