Independent U.K.-based distributor DCD Rights has secured new deals for docudrama Real Detective. The series blends the genres of true crime documentary and scripted storytelling. Produced by WAM for Investigation Discovery, the cast includes Michael Madsen (The Hateful Eight) and Devon Sawa (NCIS: Los Angeles). Sony Pictures Television has acquired the true crime series Real Detective for broadcast on brand new channel ‘True Crime’ in the U.K. and by Nine Network in Australia. Each dramatized episode is constructed around real-life crimes, telling the perspective the detectives and the victims.
