Canada’s Family Channel will premiere Fresh TV’s art-school drama Backstage on March 18 at 7pm ET/PT. The series showcases musical numbers and dramatic dance-offs, set in a prestigious Canadian arts school. Music video directors including Director X (Drake, Iggy Azalea) and RT! (Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul) have directed episodes, which also feature an original score. Episodes will also be offered on Family OnDemand as they become available weekly beginning March 19. DHX Television, which commissioned the series, is also handling international distribution.
