Dirty Dancing, set to air on ABC, is a three-hour filmed musical event and adaptation of the 1987 hit romantic drama. The ABC network musical event will star Debra Messing as Marjorie Houseman, Dr. Houseman’s wife and mother of Baby (Abigail Breslin) and Lisa. She is a meticulous 1960s housewife who takes great pride in her family and is use the vacation to try and rekindle her romance with her workaholic husband. Abigail Breslin (Freak Show, Scream Queens, Little Miss Sunshine) has been cast as lead Baby, a young woman who vacations at a Catskill Mountains resort and falls in love with a handsome, working-class dance instructor. Lionsgate Television produces the musical event in association with Allison Shearmur Productions.
