Japanese national broadcaster NHK World TV will air doc series Inside Lens for nine consecutive days in January. Inside Lens focuses on Japan and Asia. The documentaries are produced by Asian and western independent directors in association with NHK. Inside Lens features a director from China who follows Chinese tourists on a shopping spree in Japan, raising questions on the changing Chinese society and concern regarding the quality of products and foods. In Myanmar, the series visits previously out-of-bounds ruby mines, showing the human and environmental toll of the extraction process.
