The Walt Disney Company’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” earned a record-breaking $517 million in worldwide ticket sales. “The Force Awakens” cost an estimated $350 million to make and market, and took in $238 million in ticket sales over opening weekend, making this the largest ever in North America. “The Force Awakens” is the seventh “Star Wars” movie. The film focuses on a young woman, Rey, as she joins General Leia’s attempt to find a missing Luke Skywalker. Disney has four more “Star Wars”-related movies in the works.
