Sao Paulo-based Globo is gearing up for its new VOD service, Globo Play. The network will offer live programming, excerpts and an archive for viewing across smartphones, tablets and desktop computers. Real-time programming will be initially available to markets covered by Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo’s channels. Globo will also unveil its 4K content through the service: Merciless and Dangerous Liaisons will both debut with the ultra high resolution technology through the service.
