A+E Networks is ramping up its programming division under its new president and CEO, Nancy Dubuc, and just last week, the company announced four key promotions and a new position in its programming and original content groups.

Robert DeBitetto was named president, Brand Strategy, Business Development for A+E Studios. He will be “leading the charge for original content, working with evolving models and shaping the future of our company across all platforms,” Dubuc said in a release. He will oversee cross network brand strategy pertaining to A+E Networks’ corporate initiatives and business development.

Dirk Hoogstra was promoted to executive vice president and general manager of A+E’s two historically focused networks — History and H2.

David McKillop was promoted to executive vice president and general manager of A&E.

Robert Sharenow is now executive vice president and general manager of Lifetime.

Under the new titles, all four will be responsible for strategic planning, programming and development at their respective networks. Additionally, the Marketing and Brand Development teams at their respective networks will also now report directly to them.

Meanwhile, Jana Bennett joins the company as president of Bio. (the biography focused network) and LMN (Lifetime Movie Network). She will oversee development, strategies, marketing and brand development for the two networks. Prior to joining A+E Networks, Bennett was president, BBC Worldwide Networks & Global BBC iPlayer at BBC Worldwide.
