MIP Cancun is known for its LatAm marketplace, but the event’s panels of experts that touch on some of the industry’s most relevant topics are luring many attendees in this year.

This year, MIP Cancun will be featuring a total of 18 sessions, starting on Sunday, November 13, 2022, with three welcome addresses from 3:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. from various TV executives. A total of 70 speakers will make their respective ways to the podiums at the Cancun Theater in the Moon Palace Arena complex during the event.

On Monday, November 14, the market’s first day, the panels are set to start at 9 a.m. and will continue until 6:45 p.m. One session that shouldn’t be missed is at 5:30 p.m. VideoAge‘s Dom Serafini will be moderating a panel with executives such as Cecilia Mendonca, head of Content Development for the Walt Disney Company; Tiago Mello, executive producer and partner at Sao Paulo’s Boutique Filmes; and Pablo Ghiglione, who is in charge of Content Distribution & Partnerships at Globo. The theme of the discussion will be “Spotlight on Brazil: A View to its Voices, Content, and Evolution of the Sector.” After the half-hour discussion attendees will be able to meet the speakers.

Another panel that will be focusing on additional TV territories will be held on Tuesday afternoon and will highlight Colombia and Chile as creative hubs. Tuesday will see a total of seven panels, starting from a morning keynote with Telemundo’s Karen Barroeta on Latin Melodrama.

Wednesday, November 16, the market’s last day, will feature two panels: one on Trends in Financing, and the Market Wrap-Up.
