The WAWA-Lifetime Mentoring Program — which promotes female talent and greater inclusion and equality within the entertainment industry — saw the participation of executives from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Spain and Peru.

The WAWA initiative, in association with Lifetime and with the collaboration of EGEDA, took place during the months of September and October 2022, and consisted of three training stages. After the evaluation process, Perla Atanacio Medellín’s project, Las Paredes, was selected as the one that best evolved during the mentoring program.

All of the participating executives underwent intensive training and received more than 70 hours of mentoring in different areas of the audiovisual sector with 14 mentors from different Latin American countries. Direction, Production, Marketing, Pitch Techniques, Integral Project Development, Accessibility and Legislation were some of the areas in which they received training. EGEDA provided training in the legal framework.

Winner Perla Atanacio Medellín is attending MIP Cancun with the aim of finding a potential partner to complete the production of her project.
