The Italian TV Forum & Festival (ITTV) closed on November 9 in Los Angeles with a gala awards ceremony in honor of Helen Mirren and Taylor Hackford, director Mario Martone, soccer star and recent MLS champ Giorgio Chiellini, and V Channels founder Niccolò Messina. Actress Elisabetta Canalis was honored with the first annual ITTV | Ecoflix Award, and actress and activist Frances Fisher received the ITTV Human | Kinéo Global Campus of Human Rights Award.

Prior to the closing ceremony, the ITTV festival presented a two-day, curated program of panels and screenings focused on the new trends in the entertainment industry, writing, publishing, distribution and music, including a series of discussions dedicated to Tech in Entertainment, with an emphasis on the growing reality of metaverse and blockchain-based distribution.

During the event, Italy’s Rai Fiction organized several screenings, including the pilots of drama series Survivors and comedy series Vincenzo Malinconico, the world premiere of three-part drama Flowers Over the Inferno, as well as a selection of Sky and Fremantle titles.

ITTV Forum & Festival, which ran November 6-9, is the premier Los Angeles event dedicated to the Italian audiovisual sector with a special focus on television production and distribution.
