Laurence Herszberg, founder and general director of Series Mania, announced the “Call for Series” for the Series Mania Festival (to run on March 17-24, 2023), while at the same time announcing the “Call for Projects” for the Series Mania Forum (to run March 21-23, 2023). The deadline for series’ submission is January 6, 2023, while the projects ‘deadline is December 16, 2022.
“Our 2022 edition brought together more than 70,000 participants for the Festival and 3,300 accredited professionals on-site from 64 countries for the Forum. Our Festival continues to showcase top series from around the world, while the Forum — including Lille Dialogues — is truly one of today’s premiere meeting places for showrunners, screenwriters, producers, broadcasters, key executives and talent. I have no doubt Series Mania 2023 will be even larger,”” commented Herszberg.
On the Festival side, more than 60 series will be selected to be part of the Series Mania program. At the end of the eight-day Festival, 14 prizes will be awarded by the various juries during the closing ceremony.
On the Forum side, producers can submit their projects for the annual Co-Pro Pitching Sessions. From these submissions, 15 projects will be selected to participate and to be pitched in front of decision-makers of the TV industry. The best project will be awarded a 50,000€ prize, as determined by a professional jury of leading industry executives.
