RX France announced the nominations and host for the 6th MIPCOM CANNES Diversify TV Awards. A record 190 submissions were received this year from 27 countries. A total of 10 winners will be awarded.
The ceremony will be hosted by international anchor and diversity advocate Femi Oke and staged on October 19, 2022 in the Cannes Palais des Festivals’ Grand Auditorium, on day 3 of the audiovisual market. Over four decades Oke has reported, produced and presented for broadcasters including CNN International, Sky, National Geographic, NPR and the BBC. Oke is also the co-founder of ‘Moderate The Panel’, an agency dedicated to sourcing diverse event hosts.
Among the nominees are: Fandango’s Bangla – The Series; Flixxo’s Che Peruvian, Nish Media’s Pour Toi Flora, Chemical Media’s Our African Roots, and Netflix’s Heartstopper. The complete list of nominees is available here.
