The 65th Annual New York Emmy Awards Gala will take place on October 8, 2022 at the New York Marriott Marquis, in-person for the first time in three years. Dan Rather is among the honorees, he will receive the Governors’ Award in recognition of his 70-year career in broadcast journalism. Jon Stewart, activist and current host of The Problem with Jon Stewart, will share the President’s Award with activist John Feal for their efforts on behalf of 9/11 first responders.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams will present a proclamation declaring October 8 “Emmy Night in New York.” Among the many nominees is the United States Military Academy, whose West Point Band will perform “Empire State of Mind.”

The Emmy Awards are organized by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences New York Chapter. The awards show will be streaming live, in its entirety, on the New York Emmy® Awards website www.nyemmys.org.
