Vision Films has picked up the rights to Honk, a documentary directed and produced by actress Cheryl Allison through her WOW Films. The story of Allison’s unusual friendship and love with an abandoned goose made national news and became a source of hope during the pandemic. Not only did the goose, named Honk, become a phenomenon with 77,000 followers on Instagram, he serves as an ambassador for abandoned domestic ducks and geese and inspired the children’s book, Honk-A True Story by Allison and Marty Van Kleeck. Vision acquired Honk after its screening at the Dances With Films Festival Screening this month at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, and will release in on major streaming and cable platforms in November.
