ViacomCBS inked a multi-year, multi-series deal with Warner Bros. Television that sees the renewal of several syndicated series for ViacomCBS’s portfolio of cable networks.
As part of the deal, Friends was renewed for Nickelodeon’s Nick at Nite programming block. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, Friends debuted in 1994. The series follows the lives of a close group of friends as they navigate their twenties living in New York City. The ensemble cast features David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston.
The deal also included the off-network cable premiere rights to Young Sheldon, which will air as part of Nick at Nite on November 30, 2020.
