Series Mania launched Series Mania Rendez-vous, a new online initiative to showcase exclusive, curated content each month leading up to the 2021 event.
The first Rendez-vous installment will be “From Pitch to Screen: No Man’s Land,” a case study that will be available for seven days starting November 24, 2020. Moderated by François-Pier Pélinard-Lambert from Le Film Français, the case study will feature a panel with No Man’s Land co-creators Maria Feldman and Eitan Mansuri, Haut & Court’s Caroline Benjo, ARTE’s Alexandre Piel, and Fremantle’s Christian Vesper, who serves as co-producer for the series.
No Man’s Land (pictured) was pitched under the title Fertile Crescent at Series Mania Forum in 2017. It won the 50,000 euro prize for Best Project at the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions and was also selected for the International Competition at Series Mania 2020. The series will premiere on Hulu on November 18 and on ARTE on November 26.
Laurence Herszberg, founder and general director of Series Mania, commented, “We are delighted to be launching our new Series Mania Rendez-vous and what better project to kick off this exciting endeavor than our own No Man’s Land. This series is also one of the first titles to be included as part of our Series Mania Label. With the aim of promoting the notoriety and visibility to the deserving series awarded the Series Mania Label, we are perfectly poised to be at the forefront of today’s biggest TV series.”
Series Mania Festival is scheduled to take place from March 19-27, 2021, with Series Mania Forum to be held from March 23-25, 2021.
