Veteran kids’ content executive Jenna Boyd and The Cartel teamed up to launch Field Day Entertainment.
Headquartered out of The Cartel’s studio complex in Hollywood, Field Day Entertainment will focus on creating kids and family content for streaming platforms. Boyd joins The Cartel as a manager and she will work closely with The Cartel’s partners and clients to identify new IP, develop original content, and sign clients.
Boyd spent almost two decades at Nickelodeon and also helmed kids and family original series at Netflix. While at the streaming platform, she cultivated live-action projects such as Alexa & Katie and drove the company’s animation pipeline with titles such as Last Kids on Earth and Maya and the Three. At Nickelodeon, she developed fan-favorite properties such as The Loud House and also oversaw Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Boyd said, “Field Day Entertainment was born out of the desire to amplify the voices of emerging artists, writers and directors whose stories have the power to bring families together in front of one screen. I have deep respect for the team at The Cartel, and am excited at the prospect of working together to build a company that reimagines family entertainment for the streaming era.”
Bradford Bricken, partner at The Cartel, added, “Having Jenna join The Cartel team and being able to help launch Field Day Entertainment is a huge honor and we couldn’t be more excited as we continue our expansion in the family entertainment space.”
