France 5 commissioned Pernel Media to produce the second season of the docu-drama series The Real War of Thrones: A History of Europe. The new season will focus on the conflicts between the Catholic and Protestant faiths in European houses during the 1500s, examining moments in history such as Mary Tudor’s attempts to counteract the English Reformation, among others. The first season was sold internationally to broadcasters including Foxtel, Viasat World, and TV5. The Real War of Thrones is distributed by France Télévisions Distribution.
