The Writers Guild Awards took place yesterday evening. Jordan Peele won the award for Original Screenplay for Get Out. James Ivory won the award for Adapted Screenplay for Call Me by Your Name and Brett Morgen for Documentary Screenplay for Jane. Other notable television winners include The Handmaid’s Tale for drama series and new series, Veep for comedy series, Flint for long form original, and Big Little Lies for long form adapted.
