The telenovela El Chema – El Vuelo del Alacrán debuted on Colombia’s Caracol TV on April 24, 2017. Distributed internationally by Telemundo Internacional, the series follows Jose Maria Vargas as he tries to make a name for himself in the drug trafficking world. With its international premiere, El Chema earned a 4.2 rating with a share of 29.6 percent.
