While is it not yet known publicly which of the pilots will make it to our flat screen TVs until mid May, there are already 68 shows in contention among the U.S. TV broadcast networks for the 2016-2017 season. ABC has the most, by far, with 23 waiting to be series.

VideoAge will be updating this list regularly, and will include an up-to-the-minute list in its April 2017, MIP-TV issue (as well as the full list of picked-up series in our L.A. Screenings issues).

But for those who are wondering about trends before then, here are some: Reboots (Dynasty and Will and Grace are both back!), remakes of foreign shows (from the U.K, Korea and Denmark just to name a few), comedies about blended families (with too many to even name), and a special focus on single dads. Here’s what (may) be coming your way soon.
