NBCUniversal International Formats has closed its first European deal for entertainment show Hidden Singer. Set to air next spring on Discovery Italia’s channel Nove, Hidden Singer Italia will be produced by Ballandi Multimedia. Hidden Singer follows five of the country’s biggest superfans as they perform alongside their music idols. Each performer must sing the respective star’s biggest hits over four rounds. After each song, the studio audience votes out the least convincing performer until they unlock the “Hidden Singer.” The series originally aired on Korea’s JTBC and has also aired in Thailand and Vietnam.
