Using the 1979 novel and movie Time After Time as a starting point, the series chronicles the adventures of a young H.G. Wells and his time machine. Training Day begins 15 years after the film left off. A young African-American police officer joins an elite LAPD squad and partners with a morally ambiguous detective. Trial & Error is a comedic take on the hot genre of murder trail documentaries like Making a Murderer.
