Three new comedies are slated to premiere on CBS in the fall, with dad comedies making a comeback. Kevin James grows up (sort of) in Kevin Can Wait, in which a newly retired cop is surprised by the work around the house, and Man with a Plan, (Matt LeBlanc) about a man who takes care of the kids while his wife goes back to work, and learns that they are difficult to manage. In The Great Indoors, a reporter adapts to the digital age. Fall dramas include Bull, based on Dr. Phil’s early career (pictured), Macgyver (a reimagining of the original) and tech-focused Pure Genius. Crime thriller Training Day and legal drama Doubt will premiere in midseason.
