It’s Upfront Week in New York City, and as part of the annual tradition, the networks are announcing their new scripted series. We’ll update our Watercooler as the announcements are made. First up, NBC, which announced five new comedies and seven new dramas for 2016-2017. Only three will premiere this fall. Those are time travel drama Timeless, ensemble drama This is Us and comedy The Good Place. Mandy Moore stars in This is Us, which follows the lives of people who share the same birthday (pictured). Kristen Bell plays an ordinary woman who joins the afterlife when she realizes she hasn’t been the best person in The Good Place. In Timeless, a scientist, professor, and a soldier travel back in time to save the country.
