Keshet International’s comedy-drama Plan B has received five nominations at the Israeli Academy Awards 2016, and has been nominated in the TV Comedy Series category at the 56th Monte Carlo TV Festival. At the Monte Carlo TV Festival, Plan B will compete for the coveted Comedy Series Nymph d’Or, alongside Better Call Saul (Sony Pictures, U.S.), Catastrophe (Avalon TV/Amazon Studios, U.K.), Ash Vs Evil Dead (Starz, U.S. and New Zealand), Cradle to Grave (ITV Studios, U.K.) and Maniac (Rubicon TV AS, Norway). The winner will be announced at the ceremony on June 16, 2016. Plan B tells the story of Omri Gordon, a self-absorbed musician who finds an Ethiopian baby on his doorstep, with a note saying he’s the dad. At first, he rejects fatherhood because he wants to win back an old flame, who will realize he cheated on her during their relationship. Eventually, he has to come to grips with adulthood—for his sake and his son’s.
