London’s DRG has acquired a slate of history-based programming, including the worldwide rights to documentary series, Race for the White House (pictured). The six-part documentary series premiered earlier this year on CNN, and highlights iconic U.S. presidential campaigns and explores the nature of political campaigning. Kevin Spacey narrates and executive produced the series, along with Trigger Street producer Dana Brunetti (House of Cards). DRG has also secured the worldwide rights to three royal history programs, including Britain’s Bloody Crown, which dramatically retells the story of the War of the Roses, The Queen’s Worst Year, a documentary about the monarch’s famous ’annus horribilis:’ a series of scandals that plagued the Royal Family in 1992, and The Secret Photos Of The Duke And Duchess Of Windsor, a documentary that follows the romance between Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson.
