Tony Roberts has been signed onto ABC’s Dirty Dancing remake. Jessica Sharzer (American Horror Story, The L Word) is executive producer and writer of the three-hour musical event, which follows Baby (played by Abigail Breslin) as she vacations with her wealthy parents during the 60s and falls for her working-class dance instructor. The Law & Order and Annie Hall actor Roberts has been cast as Max Kellerman, the owner of the Catskills resort where Houseman family stays. Roberts joins cast mates Sarah Hyland and Debra Messing. Lionsgate Television produces the movie in association with Allison Shearmur Productions.
