Cisneros Media has announced Cosme Lopez’s decision to leave the company, after more than 15 years of service in Cisneros’ Pay TV unit. Lopez began his career in 1993, working for Venevision International (currently Cisneros Media Distribution), before taking a position at HBO Latin America in 1997. Lopez returned to Cisneros in 2000 as general manager of Venevision Continental, where he developed and established Cisneros’ Pay TV channels and services: Venevision Plus, Vmas TV and VePlusTV in Latin America and the Caribbean. In the past year, he established business partnerships with Turner Latin America to program its Pay TV channel Glitz*, and The Kitchen to operate a Spanish-language dubbing studio at Venevision’s headquarters in Venezuela.
