Carnaby International Sales & Distribution has appointed Lorraine Hall senior Sales & Acquisitions Manager. Hall joins Carnaby from Shooting Stars Distribution, where she managed acquisitions. Hall will be responsible for multi-territory sales of Carnaby’s new to market and ongoing film library, and will work with the CEOs on acquisitions of cast driven commercial and theatrical projects. Hall’s first market with Carnaby will be Cannes Film Festival 2016 in May.
IMG has named Gary Marenzi for the newly created role of head of Entertainment Sales & Partnerships. Marenzi will operate out of Beverly Hills and London, where he will oversee global sales for entertainment programming. Previously, Marenzi served as president of Paramount International Television, MGM Worldwide Television and UIP Pay Television. Most recently, he ran his own consultancy, Marenzi & Associates. IMG’s expansion into entertainment follows its international TV sales campaign for the BBC-AMC series, The Night Manager, a recently premiered series starring Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston.
