Banijay Group has announced that the merger between Banijay and Zodiak Media has completed. The deal unites the companies’ catalogues and production units. The completed merger has created the world’s biggest independent production company and the largest not controlled by a media group. The new group now has operations in 17 territories producing entertainment, drama, factual, reality entertainment, docu-drama, children’s and animation programming. Formats and shows include Versailles, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Making of the Mob, Underbelly, Wife Swap and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo among others. Stéphane Courbit is named Chairman and Marco Bassetti is appointed CEO of Banijay Group.
