Satellite operator and service provider Eutelsat Communications has reached 6,000 channels. This record reflects three trends: development in fast-growing markets; increased pay-TV platforms; and a diversified offer of Free-to-Air channels. Eutelsat has shown strong channel growth in markets in the Middle East and Africa, with one out of three channels on its satellites targeting these regions. Eutelsat has been selected by 50 Pay and Free-to-View platforms, with Africa showing the most accelerated growth. Eutelsat also broadcasts the highest number of subscription-free channels.
