Vittorio Argento has replaced RAI veteran Paolo Morawki as Prix Italia‘s Secretary General. Organized by, RAI, Italy’s state broadcaster, the PrixItalia radio-TV and Web festival is now in its 68th year. Born in Milan, 53-years-old Argento is also a RAI veteran. Throughout his career, Argento has worked in TV and daily newspapers. He previously worked as a deputy-managing director of RAI Radio1 and RAI Radio News, after joining the company in 1990. In his former position, he was responsible for the early morning news bulletins. Argento entered radio in 1976 with a private station. Argento is an expert on air and space flights and teaches Radio journalism at the Scuola di giornalismo radiotelevisivo di Perugia.
