Sydney-based SLR Productions has started production on detective duo series Lexi & Lottie. The Australian production house will team up again with its long-term partners, Europe’s Telegael, SUPER RTL, ZDF Enterprises and Network Ten. The animated comedy series is aimed at 6-9 year olds. The identical twins use their similar looks to their advantage, switching identities to help unravel mysteries. Add some twin telepathy, a pet mouse and a funny journalist friend; the crime-busters look for missing persons, animals, and solve art fraud and sabotage. The series was developed in 2015 with SUPER RTL, while the Australian Children’s Television Foundation in Australia provided scripting assistance.
