The Women’s International Film & Television Showcase held the 8th edition of the International Visionary Awards, which honored 23 women around the world for their achievements in film and TV. Salma Hayek, actress, producer, and director of Khalil Gibran’s The Prophet, was recognized with the Animation Award 2015. The theme of the WIFTS Foundation International Visionary Awards 2015 was the environment, with British actress Romola Garai for her outspoken views on inequality.
