Lionsgate U.K. has taken a 25% equity stake in independent TV and film production company Kindle Entertainment. Zygi Kamasa, CEO of Lionsgate’s European office and head of Lionsgate U.K., made the announcement today. Kindle’s portfolio includes road movie Some Dogs Bite, Nick Nickleby, a modern retelling of the Dickens classic, and action-adventure series Treasure Island. The deal, the company’s first in the TV business, Lionsgate U.K.’s expanded distribution and investment in local creative talent.
