The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers has hired Howard Lukk as the group’s director of standards. Lukk is currently a writer and director at independent film production and management company Pannon Entertainment. He will transition into his new role over the next 12 months as current director of standards, Peter Symes, steps down.
Jeremy Mills has been appointed to the newly created position of chairman of the U.K.-based Woodcut Media. Mills previously served as an executive producer on the BBC’s Nine O’Clock News, and co-founded Lion Television.
