This week, the first live entertainment program in U.S. history will be accessible to those who are blind, provided by Descriptive Video Works. The Wiz Live!, a three-hour event production of the Broadway show, will debut this Thursday on NBC with a voiced description of the broadcast’s sights, and with action woven into the soundtrack. A narration track will be integrated into pauses in dialogue that describes facial expressions, settings, costumes and stage directions.
