National Geographic Channel announced an upcoming Pope Francis biopic, Rebel Pope, and a Space Shuttle Challenger film, Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes. Rebel Pope, interweaves dramatic accounts of Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s pre-Vatican laife with documentary interviews from his inner circle. Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes follows the story of the ill-fated 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger and its crew, using rare footage from the time. Both one hour films will air globally on National Geographic Channel in early 2016.
