A+E Networks will broadcast “Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America” worldwide. The concert, which seeks to address racial inequity in light of the terrorist attack on a black church in Charleston, South Carolina, will help raise money for United Way Worldwide’s Fund for Progress on Race in America. Proceeds will also be donated to Mother Emanuel A.M.E., and the broader A.M.E denomination. Zac Brown Band, Jamie Foxx and Jill Scott will share a stage with additional musicians to perform duets. The concert will be recorded on November 18, and will air in over 135 countries on Lifetime and A+E Network, beginning November 21.

In other A+E news, Liberty Global and A+E Networks have extended their distribution deal and will launch Lifetime and H2 in HD in the U.K. and Ireland. The long-term pan European carriage deal covers A+E Networks’ U.K. channels on Liberty Global Platforms in the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
